Why isn’t my Little Giant APCP-1700 pool cover pump pumping water?

There are a few possible reasons why the Little Giant APCP-1700 pool cover pump is not pumping water:

  • The pump could be air locked.
  • The garden hose or pump could be clogged. 
  • The motor or the impeller could be going bad. 
  • There could be no power/voltage to the pump.

Why won’t my Little Giant 6-CIA sump pump turn on?

There are a few possible reasons why the Little Giant 6-CIA sump pump will not turn on:

  • There is not enough water in the sump pit. 
    • The pump needs to be submerged 5 inches below water before activation.  
  • There is no power/voltage to the pump. 

Why won’t my Little Giant Jet Pump or Sprinkler Pump prime?

There are a few possible reasons why the Little Giant Jet Pump or Sprinkler Pump won’t prime:

  • The inlet might have leaks. 
  • The suction lift could be too high for the pump. 
  • The pipes could be too small on the inlet. 
  • There is low voltage or the voltage is on the wrong setting. 
  • The water level is below sand point. 
  • There are clogged or restricted pipes. 
  • The impeller could be damaged. 
  • The pump inlet pipe has no water.
