Here are the differences between the switches on the Little Giant 9SC/10SC sewage pumps:

  • 10SC-CIM (Cast Iron, Manual) pump.  
    • Manual: Pump turns on when it gets plugged in.  
  • 10SC-CIA-SFS (Cast Iron Automatic, Snap action Float Switch). 
    • Snap action: Pump turn on when the vertical side float activates the switch.  
  • 10SC-CIA-RF (Cast Iron Automatic, Remote Float). 
    • Piggyback Mechanical Float: Pump cord plugs into the back of the switch cord. When the ball attached to the cord reaches the ON level, the pump tuns on.
