Why does the float switch on the Little Giant 6EC/10EC pump go all the way up, but the pump does not turn on?

There are two possible reasons the float switch on the Little Giant 6EC/10EC pump goes all the way up but does not turn the pump on:

  • Ensure there is nothing blocking the float from going all the way up.  
  • The float assembly needs to be replaced, because it is not pushing the pump to the ON position.
